DropPost changelog

What's changed

A running, honest log of what we've fixed and shipped - updated whenever something real goes out, not on a schedule. Status page: status.droppost.ai.

Fixed

TikTok connections silently expiring

Found and fixed an issue where a connected TikTok account could stop posting within a day of connecting, with no clear indication why. TikTok connections now refresh automatically in the background well before they'd expire.

Fixed

A rare duplicate-publish race condition

Hardened the publishing pipeline so a post can never go out twice, even if two actions on it happen close together (for example, approving a post right as an automatic retry is also triggered). Publishing now claims an exclusive lock before it ever calls a social platform's API.

Added

Export your data, anytime

Settings now has a one-click "Export my data" option - a complete download of your profile, connected accounts, posting history, captions, and billing records.

Added

Bot protection on public forms

Signup and password reset are now protected against automated abuse.

Added

Brand Voice

Tell DropPost about your business, preferred tone, and hashtags in Settings, and every AI-generated caption reflects it - instead of a generic template.

Added

Folder routing for Agency accounts

Agency-plan customers with multiple Dropbox folders and/or multiple accounts on the same platform can now choose exactly which folder posts to which connected account, from a simple grid in Connect Accounts.

Fixed

Video posting issues on X (Twitter)

Fixed two issues affecting video uploads to X, including an authentication signing bug specific to video posts.

Fixed

Posts not routing to the right platforms

A change on Dropbox's side meant some uploads weren't being correctly matched to the right platform format (Reels vs. Feed vs. Stories, etc.) for every customer. Fixed by deriving that from the file itself instead of relying on Dropbox's metadata.

Fixed

An Instagram photo-publishing timing issue

Photo posts to Instagram could occasionally fail right after upload while the image was still processing. DropPost now waits for Instagram to confirm the image is ready before publishing, the same way it already did for video.

Fixed

Pre-launch security and billing hardening

A round of security fixes and billing-accuracy improvements ahead of opening DropPost up to real customers.
